More Than an Award: What This Recognition Means to Our Team

When you start a business, recognition is never the goal.

You hope to build something that reflects your values. Something that serves people well. Something that leaves every client, partner and community a little better than you found them.

Being recognized by the Washington Business Journal as one of this year's LGBTQ+ Business Award honorees is an incredible honor. Not simply because of the award itself, but because of what it represents.

Creating an environment where people feel seen, valued and empowered to be themselves has always been important to me. I believe businesses are strongest when they're built on authenticity, respect and inclusion. I'm incredibly honoured that this commitment is part of what this award recognizes.

While this recognition may have my name on it, it truly belongs to so many others.

It belongs to our incredible team, whose passion and dedication bring our vision to life every day. It belongs to every client who has trusted us with their home or project. It belongs to every partner who has believed in us, collaborated with us and helped us grow.

Every relationship has shaped the company we are today, and for that, I couldn't be more grateful.

Awards give us an opportunity to pause and appreciate the journey. They remind us how far we've come, but more importantly, they remind us of the people who made the journey possible.

As meaningful as this recognition is, I'm even more excited about what comes next.

There is still so much to build, so many relationships to strengthen and so many opportunities to make a positive impact. We'll continue approaching every project with the same creativity, care and commitment that have guided us from the very beginning, creating thoughtful spaces, building meaningful partnerships and helping our clients tell their stories through every space we transform.
