Thanksgiving is just around the corner, which means hosts everywhere are gearing up for the big day! We caught up with our design team to get their top tips for elevating your Thanksgiving table setting. Their number one piece of advice? You don’t have to stick to traditional designs—this is the perfect opportunity to let your personal style shine.
Check out some inspiration below:
1. Get Creative With Fabrics
Our Lead Designer, Susana, shares, “I love adding warmth to my Thanksgiving table by incorporating soft burlap and natural textiles, such as rustic linens for my runner and placemats–these textures really gel with fall vibes.”
Tara, our Designer and Project Manager, is incorporating velvet runners atop her Thanksgiving table for the perfect cozy, autumn vibe. She also loves pairing velvet with natural woven materials in runners and placemats for a beautiful contrast!
2. Feature Festive Patterns
When we asked Tara about her favorite patterns to feature on her table, she said, “Plaid just screams fall to me! I also love layering plaid with floral elements to add depth and dimension to the tablescape.” Plaid is trending this year, and we’re loving it–there are so many different colors, hues and textures to choose from, making it the perfect way to showcase your personality!
Susana has a soft spot for Thanksgiving linens that feature fall-motif embroidered patterns. She loves adding an element of dimension by featuring scattered acorns and wine corks throughout the table, and guests always rave about the details!
3. Incorporate Whimsical Florals
Susana’s go-to Thanksgiving florals are all about warm fall tones. “I love creating a reed arrangement in earthy colors, paired with dried mums in a jute-woven basket. Adding mini pumpkins around the arrangement gives it the perfect finishing touch.” Reeds and pumpkins add a rustic yet refined feel to any tablescape.
Tara has a moodier vibe in mind for her floral arrangements this year. “I’m going with rich shades of peach, orange, and burgundy, mixing in roses, lilies, and mums. The deep burgundy is softened by peach tones, creating a cozy yet sophisticated vibe.”
4. Create A Unique Color Palette
Susana is embracing earthy tones this year, saying, “I’m loving warm reds, deep peach, burnt orange, sage green, and terracotta. These earthy tones really bring out the fall spirit and create a rich, inviting atmosphere.”
Tara is opting for a darker, moodier palette this year. “I’m using burgundy, rust, cream, and taupe with accents of gold. The gold adds a touch of festivity while keeping the overall vibe cozy and elegant.” Moody, autumnal shades are definitely trending, and we love how versatile this color palette is!
5. Choose A Stunning Centerpiece
For Susana, a perfect Thanksgiving centerpiece includes a mix of “reed and pampas grass, bunny tails, baby’s breath, and eucalyptus stems.” The combination of textures creates an effortlessly elegant arrangement.
Tara keeps it classic with mini pumpkins scattered around a beautiful floral arrangement. “This year, I’m using white and light orange mini pumpkins to complement the rest of the color scheme. It’s a timeless look, but always fresh and festive.”
